PANTALEO MUSARO The Pinocchio is a manipulator of truth and sits on a transparent bubble. The sculpture illustrates that our lives and careers are based on lies and falsehoods, in other words, on a bubble of air. The Snob, with his attitude of superiority, haughty behaviour and snobbish air, stands on its pedestal and looks down on everyone.

GUIDO DELEU The Visitor was created in ’96 for the main entrance of a cultural centre in Flanders, Belgium. It is kind and friendly figure, a visitor whom you would welcome with open arms. Gardeco reproduces this sculpture in different sizes in bronze and ceramics. In 2010 The Visitor has been selected for the exhibition Inter Connected, curated by Zoe Melo during the New York Design Week. GUIDO DELEU After Belgian artist Guido Deleu retired from a professional career as a civil engineer at the company Philips, he dedicated his life to his passion for art and sculpting. He attended the Academy of Arts in Roeselare and followed workshops in Carrara, Italy, focussing on sculpting techniques in marble. GUY BUSEYNE The Pinkwin collection is designed by Belgian artist Guy Buseyne. This ceramic sculpture is convincing thanks to its balanced, pure lines and its highly styled form. SELMA CALHEIRA At the age of 38, Brazilian designer Selma Calheira opens her studio Cores da Terra, which is Portuguese for "Colours of the earth". The name originates in Selma's lifelong interest in clay and her endless research into natural pigments. This trademark is filled with art and humanity and was built by Selma along her whole life. From the beginning, Selma purposely looked to hire economically disadvantaged men, women and teenagers from humble origins who she patiently prepared and professionalized as highly qualified ceramists. Her journey has resulted in an amazingly succesful enterprise which has brought extraordinary success to the rural economy of Bahia, Brazil.

STEFAN SCHONING The Friso collection is designed by Brazilian artist Domingos Tótora. His artworks are made of recycled paper kraft. Domingos Tótora’s creations embody sustainable ideals with natural materials and reflect organic processes and cycles within a fresh, contemporary context. Driven by a passion for preservation, Tótora draws inspiration from natural landscapes to create a collection of home decor pieces and furniture from natural fibres and pigments. Each design is a reflection of the shapes, forms, textures and hues of nature’s landscapes. In 1998, Domingos brought local artisans together into a cooperative that manufactures his pieces. Through this cooperative, he has helped transform the struggling agrarian based economy into one that thrives on the craftsmanship and skill of local artisans.

STEFAN SCHONING The translation for the Portuguese word Pisco is "a blink of an eye". The name of this sculptural wall decoration in ceramics describes its appearance perfectly: blinking eyes that make you blush.
